Welcome to HBGames, a leading amateur game development forum and Discord server. All are welcome, and amongst our ranks you will find experts in their field from all aspects of video game design and development.

Hey there!

So, hey there. I've had an account here for a while (when it was RMXP.org), but I'm just now interested in posting in the forums. I saw the list of suggested points in the introduction guidelines, so I figured I'd answer all of them

-What is your history with game creation and the game making community?
I've used all the console RPGM's (American, not Tsukuru). I've also used '95, '00, '03, and XP. Tried the demo for VX, but... "meh".
-What is your field of expertise in game making?
I like to consider myself pretty good with writing. My main problem when it comes to making ANYTHING, is I'll get writer's block, come up with an idea for something else, and totally forget about the project I just deserted.
-How did you find the forums?
I really don't remember
-What you hope to get out of the forum?
Learn new techniques, get past my writer's block, talk to like minded people, that stuff :)
-What kind of creative talents do you have (outside of game creation)?
Writing, acting, idk
-What are your hobbies or interests?
Video games, RMXP, writing, acting
-What kind of music do you listen to?
Lady Gaga-type stuff, "old stuff" like Joan Jett
-What level of education are you in? What are you studying in college?
Freshman year of High School (don't worry, don't worry, I'm really mature for my age)

Cool, hope you get past your writer's block; i don't get writer's block as much as too lazy to open up the freaking document.

Thanks for the welcome
And yeah, Daxis, I'm pretty sure it's a combination of the two for me.
como, they're not HORRIBLE, but, none of the three can seem to get every aspect right.
RM1 is my favorite, but it just feels really ancient (which shouldn't be a problem since I love SNES era games).
RM2 is waaaay too complicated, but I love the graphic style.
RM3 is just plain ugly looking (want a gladiator-type character? The best you're gonna' get is what looks like a washed up a movie star that put on the pounds after giving up on life), but it is the easiest to use.
And then, a universal problem is text; I never had a keyboard, so that made it harder on me.
P.S.- bacon, love your sig, but if I look at it any longer, I think I'm gonna' get Diabetes :haha:

Hey, welcome to .org! Appreciate someone reading the guidelines. Hope to see some content from you. What kind of acting do you do?

And, yeah, bacon's sig is nauseatingly saccharine. I'm sending you my dentist bill, bacon!

(jk ilu)

(well I wasn't jk about the dentist bill)

(expect a call from my lawyer)

Thank you for viewing
