Hey there

Well hey there, I'm Krang213, but my friends call me Krang.
I do enjoy using XP, though I also use Rm2k3 pretty regularly, and I've got two games in development right now, and a total of four games on the table.
Glad to be part of RMXP.org!

Hello and welcome to RMXP, Krang. Why don't you tell us a little bit more about yourself, so we know just who managed to slip in the gate. ;)

Check out this thread and get back to us with some more info about yourself. I for one would love to know what sort of things you are best at doing with RMXP/2k3, and what your history with these makers is. :)

Nice to meet you, Krang!
I too would like to know more about your projects on RM2K3, I miss this maker sooo much.

Welcome to RMXP.org!

Well I shall comply and let you know a little more about myself :thumb: I'll go through the list of intro rules from the top

My history with the Rmaker series begins long ago in a faraway land called Grade 9  (I'm in grade 12 now) I've always been drawn to game design and editors, the creativity with it is really appealing to me. So I found this program called RPG Maker 2000, and started playing with it! Spent about six months making a game called Destiny of Orion and then dropped that. The data got deleted when I got a new computer, or else I'd pick it back up, it was cool! Since then I've upgraded to Rm2k3, and recently picked up XP though I still use 2k3 a LOT

My #1 expertise is in storyline; I'm both a creative writer and a songwriter in the real world, so I apply that to my games. I always try to stick to a good meld between realistic story (the whole "it could happen" factor and the magical RPG style of things. I'm also an excellent mapper, and am good at making the backbone of a game, like setting up items and skills and stuff... Working in the database. I'm a pretty good eventer and a novice scripter, though I'm learning well, I started playing with RGSS about a month ago! I make music for games (and for me ). I'm also a terrible graphic designer, so don't come to me for any graphic resources!

I was referred to this forum from another forum (phanxgames.com, you may have heard of it), and am glad to be here now. The more help the better

I write alot in my spare time, I also love playing guitar, which I've been playing for 5 years now. I picked up the drums a couple months ago, I'm ~decent at that. As for music, I tend to prefer hard rock and metal (System of a Down, Disturbed, KoRn, Rage Against the Machine, and Metallica are my 5 favs) but I listen to everything - from Foo Fighters, to Primus, to Eros Ramazzotti to Ricky Martin. EVERYTHING!

As I said, I'm in Grade 12 now, and I might go after post-high school education to become a profession game designer. But I might not. It's a big part of my life, but I don't know what I want for a career!

And one last thing - I do NOT usually let my posts get this long! I'm completly introducing myself and getting that out of the way! :tongue:Don't worry, I'm not going to be a post fiend, nor will I be a double poster! Haha

Double posts here are actually pretty okay so long as they're each full and separate posts. One of our former admins has been trying to encourage that mentality for a while, and I kind of agree -- you can post as many consecutive times as you like so long as each post has a separate point. :P

Welcome to .ORG, dude. Wel come to . ORG OR R du du d d e. Four games on the table already, huh? Anything that might ring a bell for me? I'm a lot newer to the scene than you are, but I've checked around -- especially when it comes to RM2k3. It seems as if people have to try harder to make bad RM2k3 games or something... Or maybe the program is old enough that the really awful ones have sunk to the bottom and people have been left with a much higher general standard. I kind of wish the same thing would happen with XP.

Hmm, well none of my games have really made a big splash, but one of them is based on a biblical story you might've heard of. That's my current 2k3 game, it's called Divine Comedy. It's based on Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, which is a story made in the 14th Century. It follows Dante as he is taken pretty much on a tour through Hell, Purgatory and Heaven. I think it's a pretty cool concept for a game! I'm not really religious but it's still neat :P
