Help With Texture

Texturing is a bitch... SK's much better at that than I am...
but as Refrence I always look at this site:

For your game you're using the Vex template with a more simplified method of shading right?
Are the roofing slats meant to be flat or rounded?
 
Mayang is good for texture. I suppose you're using photoshop for your textures... if you're not you should!
I suggest :

1 - add a layer of roof tiles on top of your texture
2 - make the roof tile layer greyscale (control+shift+u)
3- in layer mode put the multiply blending mode (if it's too dark drop the oppacity of the layer)

that should help get detail. try the burn and dodge tool for highlights and shadows to give it some depht.
