Help with States and making "Burn" work

This thread is for general help with states. Burn is the focus of this particular thread.

Basically, I wanted a Pokemon-ish effect, where you can get burnt from fire attacks. However, there have been problems. For example, the weakest Fire Spell will Burn you 90% of the time... Worse still, some Burned characters don't seem to get out of the state even when I place the release values as high as 100%... I tried both boxes seperately without the desired result.
I'd also like to note down the fact that it does more damage then I would like, though I could make do with it if necessary.

So, why don't the states release when I set the boxes under "Release Conditions" to a high number? Is it just some annoying bug? I'd also like to make it harder to get Burnt, BTW.

Thanks to anyone who can hlep me with this crazy thing...

setting both boxes under release conditions to a high number will make the state just very long lasting.

One box is for number of turns. This basically states after how many turns you CAN be released from this state.
The other is for propability. For example: after 7 turns you set a release propability of 50%. So every turn after the 7. turn the state was inflicted you will get healed with a propability of 50%.

If you are trying to make geting burned harder, you have to set the propability for that at the enemie or class data base.

Hope this helps

@Dalton: Oh, I didn't mean the "After [box] turns," one. I meant the two percentile boxes (I guess the "Each Physical Damage" box is the chance of being released when hit?).

The thing is, I set it to a high percentile after 1 turn would have passed... they stay burnt for ages regardless. Then I tried setting it to 100% after 1 turn.... nothing. I tried 0 turns then, but it didn't work. I also tried this kind of stuff with the "Each Physical Damage" box separately (so if for some reason you need both on a high percentage, that could be the problem).

Could the state's rating have anything to do with this? I have it set to 3, since I don't know what it's really for.

@Mr_Smith: Hmmm... Problem is I'm not very good with script editing and would prefer to solve this through the basic system before I resort to scripting. If it doesn't work and Burn is still overpowered, then I'll try the Pokemon Starter-kit.

Thanks guys.

That's what I thought... I'm not very good with Screen shots, but this should still be good enough for you guys to spot the problem... whatever it may be...
