Help with Battle Backgrounds please!!

Hey there, i was wondering if any of you out there would like to help me out with a (hopefully) simple request,

I was wondering if it was possible, and if it is, how do i make it so that rpg maker xp does not zoom in or re-size the battle background when you enter a battle.

I have added text and other pictures to my battle backgrounds and when i use them it looks all stretched out and not readable.

can anyone help me..

ALSO on another note, i am definitely open to try any alternatives to doing this instead of adding the text and pictures straight to the backgrounds.
so if you know how to do this any other way please let me know.
one way that i have tried is to go into the monster groups and add an event in the battle, with the trigger on a switch and the frequency to battle, the for the event i put Show picture and used photoshop to make the pictures and text into one picture and made it show that way and that worked perfectly but with some bugs, when you choose a monster to attack or have any kind of info on the screen, the picture is over the top of the info, and i want it under it, (thus why i tried the battle backgrounds after this) and the main thing why i stopped doing this is because after the battle is over, the picture does not disappear. This might be an easy fix, but i have been stuck on this for about two days now, and am getting very frustrated with this, please if anyone can help me post here quick!!

thanks.

I'm pretty sure if your battleback is the same size as the screen (640x480), it shouldn't resize. If you want to show text another way without using pictures or pasting it onto the battleback itself, you can ask some scripters for help.

i don't think that will work, because the normal screen size is 640 x 480 right?
and the normal size of the battle backgrounds are 640 x 320.. that's smaller already, i don't think making the backgrounds bigger would stop it from re-sizing.

alright, well im decent at scripting, i just wanted to see if there was a way to do this without scripting,
so if anyone can figure this out for me that would be great, but until then i guess i'm gonna have to start searching through some of the scripts.

thanks in advance.

can someone please look through the scripts to do this for me please???

i have looked through all of the scripts and i cannot find anything on this.
the main one i looked through was Spriteset_battle

please help me!!!
