RGSS RTP = Ruby Game Scripting System Run Time Package.
You need it to play games that make use of Enterbrains resources.
Though I'm not sure about the error message that you're getting...

It's admirable that you want to make a long game, but I think I speak for everyone here when I say the best course of action is to try your hand at shorter games, practice mapping, practice eventing, try out scripts, etc. I know from experience that it is extremely difficult to finish games even if you're really excited about them when you start- I have WAY too many unfinished games in My Documents- so you should try making a one hour game with a beginning, turning point, rising action, climax, falling action, conclusion etc. Write a short story and make a short game out of it.

Once you're done with that, you'll have a good feel for the program, you'll have improved, and you'll be able to decide whether or not you're up for making a long game.

If you make an adequete looking short game and so that you're up for doing a long haul of one, I'd consider helping you find scripts/minor spriting/minor tileset editting/mapping etc.

As for the RTAB battle system, do some googling and look around on different RMXP sites and see if you can find a good script.

I don't mean to sound discourging :)
Just trust me, it's best to start slow and get a good feel for the program instead of jumping the gun.
