I am new to these forums, obviously. I am not much of a XP person, to be honest, but I like VX a lot. I first started to get into game making in the Western theatre as a way to practice my English and interact with Westerners, though I found it to be quite a fun hobby that I've become attached too. :tongue:
I'm a fairly nice person as long as people don't irritate me with trifles. I have a few pet peeves here and there, but I'd never kill anyone over it.
On a side note, I enjoy Jazz, Space Rock, Fusion Jazz, Acid Jazz and Post-Modern Rock. My tastes are a little bit strange, yes I know, but I enjoy "funky" tunes. My favorite bands include The Samuel Jackson Five, Godspeed! Your Black Emperor, AIR, Tracer AMC and a few others. Sometimes I like certain Progressive Rock tunes such as Dream Theatre in their earlier days. I am generally easy when it comes to music except for rap. :down: At one point in time, my favorite song was a Romanian-Gypsy-Death-Metal band, heh. As far as literature goes, my favorite novel would most definitely be Beatnik literature such as Jack Kerouac's On The Road. I tend to enjoy casually browsing non-fictional work such as historical documents or random sociological novels such as Freakonomics.
But going back to RPGs, they were the first genre of games I've ever laid hands on aside Pong! I've fallen in love with RPGs ever since I played Final Fantasy III and Breath of Fire I on the SNES. Unfortunately, I have a medical condition where I have a hard time playing 3D games without getting a massive headache, so I've always stuck to GBA. With the advent of PSPs and DSes, GBAs are no longer ... really cared for much. So now I rely you all of you, amateur game makers, to provide me with some entertainment in my small and busy day. :tongue:
Again, XP doesn't suit me too well because my computer loves to droops its feet as I play, but I will try to. My favorite XP game thusfar is Cell Chamber Chicane ... at least the demo of it. As far as RM2k3 goes, I have quite a few as the system has been around for awhile, and thus it has had a lot of time for developers to cultivate their skills and produce quality games. However, I see a bright future for VX and I am more than willing to try it as I've heard its a fairly lightweight program.
