Hello, I'm new here... though I'm not new to game making. I made my first game, what was it? Two years ago. It was truly a sight to be horrified by :P because I wasn't and still aren't too good at Game Maker, which I used to make it. Later on, I moved to Visual Basic and then to RPG Maker which both turned out better than GM, but I eventually started using RPG Maker - first 2003, then XP, and I still haven't and probably won't move on to VX since of it's lack of being better than XP. I am a horrifying scripter and I barely manage to fix up some flaws in other people's scripts when I need to implement them >.< and I'm not too brilliant a mapper. But I still have enough skill and experience to put together a fine game.

Im sure with practice, you can become a good scriptor.

Great that you already have experience with XP, at least enough to know it's better than VX :wink: .
