Hey guys.
I'm using a bandage that, when used, heals you a little, waits a second, heals you more, waits longer, heals you even more, then waits even longer, and heals you for a lot more. So basically, the longer you wait, the more health you gain from the bandage. Great concept in an ABS where you're in the middle of an arena fighting. You can tuck away behind a rock and heal yourself, but as soon as an enemy gets there, you'd better bolt. And as soon as you push an arrow key, or shield, or attack keys, then the healing process is stopped. However....
I'm doing this solely with events, but I need help figuring out how to stop the healing if you're attacked. I've tried setting a variable to your health, so I can use a condition to say that if that variable is dropped below what it starts as, then turn "healing" switch off. But if you've ever used variables at all, then you know that that doesn't work quite like it seems it would. Any suggestions? I can't seem to figure this one out... though it's my bed time and I might just be too exhausted to think properly. I'm going to sleep on it, but I'd appreciate some input. Even if it's just you telling me that the idea's idiotic and I should consider something different. XD
Thanks .org!
