HAving Trouble with animation bitmaps

Hi, I been having some troubles with the ANIMATION bitmaps. Everytime I try to edit them, unlike the other bitmaps (character bitmaps, for example), they mess up. What I mean is that some 'decoloration' goes on while I edit them. I have tried both Windows Pain and some other program, but still I get the same result. Another thing I notice is that the animations look 'tranparent' in the actual in-game no matter what. It seems strange since in the EDITOR(making up the animation from the bitmaps) the pictures doesn't look tranparent at all.

Anyone help?

That's because the background in the editor is black. Additive colors on a black background will look normal.

Change the cell's Blending from "Add" to "Normal," and you'll have opaque cells.
