Have you ever eaten any raw meat, such as beef?

As for me, I've never eaten any raw beef (at least not that I recall), but I might be willing to try if it is fresh (killed today, or even in the last hour or so), my stomach acid pH is less than 1.5 (It must be very powerful to kill micro-organisms), and I trust the source.

Bacon during a poweroutage. Several times, actually. Dunno if it counts, as I think it's pre-cooked or something.

Actually, there is such a thing as chicken sashimi. The chickens have to be carefully bred to be salmonella free and the meat must be very fresh, so it is abominably expensive. I have heard it is pretty good though.

I think cooked tuna and salmon are a waste. They are much better as sashimi. Of course, in many places you can't really get sashimi quality tuna or salmon and have to cook it to eat it, but it is a crying shame. Most fish is better raw or very lightly seared.

Dare is good too. I prefer my steaks bleeding and screaming, and dare is the culmination of that.

Man I love eating in this country.

For those who think it is somehow strange to eat something uncooked, you are really desperately missing out. It is not unclean, it is generally better for you, and it is delicious and entirely different from what you're used to.

I'd have to agree with Erk, the less cooked my meat is, the more I like eating it, though I have to say I do have a liking for extremely well done flank steak after it's cold (I like it better cold for some reason). Absolutely raw meat however, isn't my favorite, I've eaten a bit of raw chicken, half of a full new york steak raw... And well, they just plain weren't that good. I'd rather cook them.

Sushi and Sashimi are among the greatest things on Earth. ^_^ Cooking takes all the flavor out of seafood. I've also eaten raw crawdad (also called crayfish), the first time when it started raining when we were camping, and we couldn't get a fire lit to boil them, it's delicious.

Well, not all sushi contains raw meat, so it only counts if it did. :P

Well some (crazy) people dont consider fish meat.
edit
Oh I just now saw the *includes fish* thing. OK good, cus its meat. What else would it be?

They have to freeze it first, or get it teally low temp. I ate raw chcicken and got sick XD, I get sick when I eat half cooked too.

it may depend on the country or the language :
for exemple in french, the word 'meat' exclusively means 'what doesn't from the sea what doesn't fly'. In other words; beef, pig, horse, etc...

I love eating raw meat, but you've got to pay attention to its freshness of course.

the most delicious fishes I've ever eaten were raw. I tasted a lot of different meat served in sashimi in japan, such as tuna, salmon, octopus, beef, shrimps, whale (incredibly expensive!!!), squid, yellowtail, and a few others I don't remember...

There is also a dish I use to eat sometimes in switzerland called 'tartare'.
It's raw chopped beef meat mixed with an egg, tomato sauce and some spices. it's delicious

I've had all sorts of Sashimi, most of which was good. (Some stuff doesn't taste good.)

Pork I won't eat raw, although I do enjoy Ham, its cured and cooked. Some people don't know that though. I would try raw bacon, but that's a bit fatty for me and I don't know if the smoking/curing process makes it safer.

I WOULD try chicken raw, but only if it was prepared in an expensive restaurant. I know Salmonella isn't an issue in good chicken, but I'm not taking chances.

I've had rare turkey and duck on the same plat on one occasion.

Beef? Seriously, who cooks beef?

I will take a bite out of a raw steak any day of the week. Maybe with some seasoning on it? I don't just eat steaks raw though... Not sure why.
Oh yeah, and I don't eat raw hamburger unless it's the good stuff.

The United States are one of the few countries that have so many qualms about eating raw meat. Raw Beef, Fish, Chicken - it's all common in other developed countries.

And besides, raw beef tastes better.

Seriously.

If you ever get a chance, don't bite a live crabs arm off. It tastes terrible. All salty and gooey. Ick.
