Well. I wasnt sure if this was a "script related question" or not. I guess it could be both...
anyway i have a problem, im using Gubids GTBS (its amazing btw) when i stumbled upon what seems to seperate a great game, from a stupid one.
My character must walk threw a...lets say forest filled with monsters, and get to the end of the forest.
the monsters randomly walk around, but if they touch the actor a battle starts.
My monsters are spread out and when i was testing the game i ran into a problem, the monsters dont touch the character unless you have chronic arthritis of the hands, and cant maneuver with the keyboard to save your life.
Then i tryed the option that makes the event go to the player... but then i had 10 monsters rushing the player from every angle.
How can i make the monsters walk randomly about the map, and if the actor comes in range of the monster, it will chase after the actor until the actor gets out of range of the monster, or the event/monster touches the actor and triggers a battle.
Scripts to solve this would be great, but anything would help.
