GTA IV Downloadble Content Confirmed!

Just read an article about GTA IV downloadable content.  It's a whole new chapter called Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and The Damned.  Let's hope you got sick of playing as Niko Belic, because in this chapter, there's a whole new protagonist, his name being Johnny Klebitz, who is a part of the Biker Gang "The Lost".  This add-on is supposed to come out on February 17, 2009.

Sounds great, huh?  Well, if your the owner of an Xbox 360.  The PS3 won't be seeing The Lost and The Damned.

Probably not.  You know how Microshit loves to rub stuff like that in PS3 owner's faces. :\

Though, if a PS3 release does come out, it'll probably be like... months later, after everyone's beaten it over a friend's house.

microsoft paid big bucks for the exclusives.  the ps3 has no games i don't know why you spend money on the big black paperweight.

the pc version of gta4 is horrible.  instead of optimizing the engine, rockstar basically took the 360 version and gave it keyboard controls.  the system requirements are stupidly high (3gb of ram and 3 processor cores wtf).  i exceed all of the requirements because i'm awesome like that, but currently, there's no system that can run the game on high settings under a decent speed.

That's a shame, San Andreas ran great and looked beautiful on pretty shitty PCs Sad to see Rockstar basically abandon the market that birthed them.

I own both systems, but the downloadable content doesnt really sound all that exciting. Wow I get to be a biker. Horray? I could give a shit.
But I agree PS3 needs more games besides MGS4. IMO I like my 360 better cus more better games. and i havent had my new one die on me, but there is a 3 year warrenty for if it gets the red light of death now. So it doesnt matter. But i do enjoy metal gear online for ps3...oh and ps3 looks cool. lol but thats it.

I dunno, in terms of console wars, I look at PS3 and 360, and the 360 had a ton of games I couldn't live without, the PS3 had like one or two. I'd rather not buy both, so it was an obvious choice.

I'm looking forward to this new content for GTA IV though, we've done most things in GTA games involving organized crime now but a biker gang is fresh. My major concern is that, you know, without cross country drug smuggling, big long open roads, biker rallies, and dirty roadside bars how much of the experience can we expect?

I agree with you. I didn't mean to shoot down the idea of being a biker. are they keeping the same setting do you know? Or are they making a diffrent city. I doubt they would make a diffrent city but it could be cool. Eithier way, rockstar is one of my favorite game companys after Capcom. So I will see what they have in store for us :D

From what I understand it's still liberty city, maybe with some new content? I don't know, I think the biker gang concept would have worked a lot better in San Andreas, it was huge (and really an awesome game, still the best in the series IMO).
