Graphic editor

I was wondering what people use to edit their graphics, such as sprites, battlers and tilesets. I use Gimp, which is good because its free, but it feels slightly restricting (maybe because my skills with the mouse are not good at all).

Considering this is not a support thread directly related to the functions of RMXP, it should be moved. Please try to post threads in their designated forum from now on (read the forum description). It makes the mods/admins job much easier.

On topic: I use Photoshop CS2.

If you can make use of GIMP's layers and some of the filters, I think you'll find it more versatile than you might have imagined. I've used it a bit, and it's not bad, but the workflow is a tad cumbersome at times and I'm more comfortable in Photoshop, which along with Fireworks, are my main "weapons of choice". I also use Poser in some of my stuff, such as portraits, battlers, and sometimes animations, but the big one is Photoshop.

I use Photoshop CS2, and GIMP (when I have to)

What I like about GIMP is that it will accept about every format there is, and can create any format as well (like Microsoft Icon files for example)

3DS Max...is a 3D Modeling program, and isn't really a 2D graphics editor.

On Topic: I use Photoshop CS2 along with Illustrator CS2 and Fireworks when needed.

I'm a Photoshop 6 baby... with a little bit of Character Maker (it's better for me than paint cause it has an option that allows you to see the animation that you created..) it's like an enhanced paint to me... lol
