Is there a script that will allow me to import .gif animations into my game to use as cutscenes?

I tried searching but most threads had been editted due to some sort of hack attempt.

Not animated gifs themselves, but you can simulate their effect through the use of .png files with the following (taken from the 'FORUM SCRIPT LISTINGS'):

The Idea here, is to replace GIF's with a chain of png or whatever files. You create the image just as you would a sprite (acutally, its just a complex sprite) and the script takes care of the rest. This is more of a tool for scripters.​

And the new version event has 2 ways to do it, the second being a little more easy.

I will try to upload it sooner or post parts of my test bed.
