getting moving characters how?!

how do you get a character so that it moves a little like in suikoden 2.

and also i have some character who i want to put new in my story (Auron) but if i put them in they stil have that white background behind them and thats realy fake if you sey that ingame.

paint doesnt get it away does anyone know a program to remove this background from this char so i can use it ingame?

Also i want to put Flik from suikoden 2 i my game?

i know i have alot questions but i just realy dond know and i realy wanna put some RPG chars in my game.

Not everyone has played Suikoden 2--explain the movement system in more detail. Maybe post a YouTube video if you can find one.

When you import the graphic, click on the background that you want to be transparent.
