OK, I'm working on a character for my game. I wanted some feedback, or tips on how to make it better so far.
All I have left is

I will keep updated as I add more.
The pants are messed upped. I'm fixing them at the moment.
Deleted WIP Tileset.

I hardly think you give us much room to speak when our options are "looks awesome" or "start over".   You haven't got much there yet, seems like mostly parts taken from RTP.  The sign looks pretty good, though.  You definitely need a lot of work to get across a "western" look though.  I'm sure it won't be hard to find references, just keep up the work.

It's kinda hard to distinguish between the panelled floor and the wall... I think you need to rethink the patterns.

I think you're missing depth in the railing. It looks flat. Ick it reminds me of the VX graphic style sans the blurred shading and such.

An easy way to remedy your problem distinguishing the walls between the floors, Is to select a different texture from the RTP. Using the same texture just rotated, really makes It look funny.

I'm only seeing an outline, but for an outline, it's coming along.

- Your shades of the white shirt's outlines are too light. Up the contrast.
- Reduce some of the extra detail on the shirt. He kinda looks chubby.
- Don't make the knees so defined--they look like folds.

And can you make a comment that you deleted the WIP tileset? It's just that now all the tileset comments seem out of place.

Now for the C&C.

The shading on the jacket looks strange to me - try getting rid of those highlights around his pectorals.
I'm also not sure about the blue sleeves, but I don't know why they're bugging me... they just are.

There's not enough contrast between colors and if your going for an "authentic" western look, you might want to leave that bright green and use brown and cream colors instead.

OK, and the sleeves. They are bugging me too, I'm trying to change them.

Yeah I know but, If I keep using the same colors over and over again, it's going to get annoying.
