Overview
This is my third atempt to make a game my first in VX hopefully this time i can finish it. I want it to be fresh and a new idea.
I made the story with many diferent ideas. I want live music but im not good at compossing my own music so I'll need help. Gemm is like a fantasy game it has a little drama but hardly any, mostly when Mia the main character is talking. Since this is the first game I've made in VX i want to keep it simple.
Inspirations: Legend of Zelda, Lonelyelf

Story

Background:
A gem is a crystal gift from the gods. Each Gemm having their own power allowing the person to have skills(cast spells). After the black time ( couldnt think of a good name) when the demons came up trying to destroy the world the gods sent them back to the hell. Taking their powers away and locking the powers away in the demon lair made to store evil powers. After that the gods decided to give gemms to a number of people. The people were to make sure earth stayed peaceful. every time a person betrayed the Gemms his gemm would turn evil and a new person would recieve a gemm. Then the gemm sqaud would defeat the the person who had turned evil and store the evil gemm power in the demon layer. It was also possible for the person who had turned evil to go to the demon lar and
take all the power stored their and be unstopable.
Plot:
I dont want to add a lot of detail. So im just going to tell you the first part It is modern day and one day Mia the main character wakes up with a gemm she goes out side finding out her whole village is on fire (caused by Xceeric a person from the gemm sqaud who turned evil)she sees a man with the same gemm as her so she follows him she figures out what the gemm is then goes home to find that her mom was kidnapped by Racous a evil person who turned against the gemm. then she and Kesa a girl from the gemm sqaud set out to stop ratouse from going to the demon layer. well thats as far as i have got.
Charcters:
Mia- The main character is very shy and determined. She lives in a town south of Maytown always helping her mom never doing anything for her self. Though she is shy, she is very brave and strong though is very confussed in the begining.
Kesa: is very kind and possitive.
Heric: he is the leader of the Gemm sqaud he is kind and quiet.
Riku: very active rude and has a temper even to people her hasnt met.
Xceeric: evil turned against the gemm sqaud.
Racous: also turned against the gem sqad.
Kryna: is very kind positive and active

Now I can be a bit meaner :P

It's all well and good to want your game to be fresh and new, but...

... sooner or later, someone will scream bloody murder at you: materia. Personally, I love the notion of magic crystals, but alas it's quite a cliché. It sounds fairly original though, I'll give you that much. I hope you can pull it off, might be worth considering something more original though. You go on to say it's set in modern times, perhaps you could roll with that?

I found it quite difficult to read through the background section. The bits I picked up, I liked, however you might want to scan through it and improve it. Your choice really, but I'm thinking of other people that will read through it and misinterpret your plan.

her whole village is on fire

Another cliché :sad: Well, if there is something special about how this fire occurs, or something special about the fire itself, I might yet to be proven wrong.

I can't really say much about the characters aside from: a) You seem to like a lot of girl characters and b) tell us more about maytown and this Gemm squad :biggrin: Actually, more info in general would be nice

This seems like it could go somewhere, although it's very cliche - but what isn't nowadays? XD

I had to read through the background and plot, like 5 times before I actually understood what was going on. I usually don't comment on people's projects (though I should), but I just wanted to say that you should fix up your grammar so people don't get confused - like I did. ^_^;

Sorry i didnt explain alot. The fire was caused by xeeric :devil: who turned against the gemm squad. I dont play that many video games so i dont know whats new and whats not. plus as i said im kind of inspirering off legend of zelda. I added two more characters so theirs more boys but whats wrong with girls so im keeping all the girls. :boo:
