Garry's Mod 10

So Garry's Mod 10 is available on steam right now for $10, and let me say this - It's frikkin awesome.

Every previous tool works 100% better, and you can tell that he made this from the ground up. Hell, it doesn't feel like a mod any more - it's like a whole new game.

Garry's a millionaire now. :p i think i get half life 2 again, and purchase this one, but i guess i would stick with 9.

Think about it, being able to sell it means he was able to get access to the Source engine which means he can do much more. Its a good thing. I will no doubt get it.

I've played Garry's Mod 10, and I can't say I'm too impressed with it yet.

First, the SWEPS for it, scripted weapons that use custom models, don't work at all. Ever try to shoot an enemy with a huge "ERROR" model floating in front of you? It's a hard feat, to be sure.

Then I tried posing, which I found (Insert Garry's mod version here) times as hard to do, and it didn't look right thanks to the stretching feature.

So, I reinsalled Garry's Mod 9. And I go to Facepunch studios, THE place for Garry's Mod stuff. And all the Gmod 10 SWEPS are incompatable with Gmod 9. And the GMod 9 section? GONE.

Luckily, with some history surfing, turns out the old Gmod 9 SWEP page wasn't deleted yet. So I jumped in, and downloaded like hell to get all the cool guns I felt I needed, and saved them all to a folder on my hard disk, then made a DVD backup of them all. Take that, Garry!

I'm still rather disappointed though. I lost 10 bucks on my blind faith in the mod series.

Gary's mod is good for a lot more than model posing and SWEPs, and I've never had any problems with the SWEPs myself, and posing is actually easier in my experiance, you just have to be careful with it.

Well, maybe I just have to wait untill there's a lot more content for Garry's Mod 10 to make it a fun mindless distraction.

It is extremely fun ^_^ thing is Breen, if your getting ERROR it is obviously a missing model! Only ever happens when a model is missing.

One problem is I can't find a portal gun (Too fun to stand at one end of a level then appear on the other to shoot that one victim ^_^) And I can't find the one Silent Hill map that is fun to play, especially when you over spawn the zombies O_O
