Games with friends or alone?

Hi, I would like to ask, do you play games alone or with friends (most of the time). I'm tired of playing alone and I ask for your opinion. Do you play alone or with friends? Is it always better to play with friends? With what friends do you ussually play (classmates, neigbhours, friends form another places...)? How more easily get friends in-game?

P.S. Sorry for bad english, and recommend you my game-one piece game online.
P.P.S. No, I'm not forever alone, just I was always playing alone but it wasn't so interesting...

I've always play alone. In fact, I keep most of my interest to myself. I think you get a better taste for things that way.

Looking back at highschool I "loved" a lot of stuff. But I think I only loved it because it was something to talk about with friends. I've picked up a lot of games, anime, movies that I hoped would be good to share. But I found revisiting it years later it was lame.

I've mostly played games alone. But I would like to play more with others. It's pretty hard to find couch co-op these days though. And I don't have the online friend roster to do the online thing. Except that playing King Arthur's Gold with random strangers has probably been my favorite activity recently so there's that.

I keep trying to play with friends, but I'm a solitary person I guess, and play games to get away from people, for escapism. It breaks the fourth wall kind of to know that someone else real is beside you. I know that's an awful view to take though!

I know exactly what you mean. It's like watching my favorite show with my dad or sister in the room. It'll be a dramatic moment and they'll ruin it with mock sobbing or sarcastic comments; they're not as invested in the story as I am.

It depends, really.
Any game that isn't multiplayer sucks with friends, obviously because someone isn't involved - it's different for party games though, and taking turns.
I don't play a whole lot of single player games; I have anime to fill that narrative hole for me, so I focus on multiplayer games mostly. This means I can play with friends really easily.

Come to think of it, League of Legends ties me and one group of my friends together. The only time we play is when we are a group of five in a call, and without that tie, I tend to drift and not really talk to them. I think games unite us, and even though we're really good friends outside of the game, having a physical distance between us would make us drift without it.
