Games Like Donkey Kong 64?

Anybody know of any games like Donkey Kong 64, Super Mario 64, Gex, Banjo-Kazooie etc. Where you go around collecting stuff and opening new levels and stuff? I really love those sorts of games, Anyone know any good ones?

Try Donkey Kong Country, probably one of the best platformer series ever (start w/the 2nd one imo).

All of these I will agree with as well, R&C especially. Jak is great too, but it takes up so much FUCKING SPACE on your MC.

Banjo & Kazooie and Banjo Tooie. The two best games in the genre imo.

also the metroid prime games arent exactly in the same genre but they're closer than you might think despite being first-person. 3d platformer is my favorite genre too and the metroid prime games are my favorite games (other than pokemon obviously) so its definitely worth checking out.

Try Scooby-doo: Night of 1000 frights for the ps2. Slightly kid oriented, but very good.

Ah, Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie. Good times, good times. I read they're developing part 3, which was extremely long-waited for, but with a teensy-tiny problem: It's on the XBox360. Well, that's a problem for me (I don't have one, don't want one either), and this chain break really ticks me off. I've waited patiently on the 64... the GC... even the Wii (still am. Change of heart in the company, maybe?).
"Hello. The long-awaited top-off off this trilogy, brought up almost a decade ago, longer waited for than Melee to Brawl, Banjo-Threeie! Now go spend 360 on a 360 before you can play this." WTF!?!?!?

BTW, in Banjo-Tooie they said the sequel would be called Banjo-Threeie, but a wiser name would be Banjo-Kazoothree, don't you think?
