Best Story: Assassin's Creed (I would say MGS4, but it isn't a standalone story)
Biggest Let Down: Halo 3

I'm definitely thinking that MGS4 and GTA4 will be walking away with quite a lot of awards this year.

Yeah, I would have just put games that have came out, but the rest of the year holds a huge assortment of games, and I didn't want to exclude them :/

You can't gauge a real opinion on a game before it comes out. It doesn't work that way. Trailers and betas/demos are seldom accurate to how the game will end up.

--Also, wait a minute, it's only halfway through 2008. What is the timespan here? Jun2007-Jun2008?

But I'll give my shots around here:

Best Gameplay: MGS4 (From what I played)
Best Graphics: Crysis
Best Sound: Final Fantasy Versus XIII?
Most Revolutionary: Spore (?)
Best Story: MGS4 / FF Versus XIII (Having big hopes for Versus, not so much for the main XIII)
Biggest Let Down: GTA4

Seriously GTA4 is just more of the same. I got tired of playing around in a city where you basically kill for a job and steal and.... you get my point. I had good hopes for GTA4, from what i saw etc.. but now that i had the chance to actually play it, I feel that they accomplished the lot of this game back in San Andreas. After a while, the game tends to be repetitive. I'd still give it a good score though, but it's not good enough just to have more of the same.

Biggest Let Down: Dark Sector (Good game, but I thought it was going to be mindblowingly awesome, not just good)

Best Gameplay: Mario Brothers Partners in Time (go the DS!!!!)
Best Graphics: Crysis (once they build a pc that can run it)
Best Sound: Mass Effect (for the all voices they made for the cutscenes)
Most Revolutionary: Spore Creature Creation (hah!! and you though spore can't count seems its not out in the time frame!!)
Best Story: Mass Effect (sorry i am bias for any Bioware game)
Biggest Let Down: Age of Cohan

Super Mario Galaxy should pretty much take everything, other than biggest let-down, which I'd give to Twilight Princess (unless that was 2007? either way it's still recent enough for me).
