Game Character Hub

A program from Enterbrain, added to the Humble Bundle RPG Maker sale, or $14.99 from their site. Seems to have gone under the radar.

Game Character Hub is the ultimate program for creating and editing 2D game assets. It provides a built-in generator for character and tileset creation. The program was designed specifically to be compatible with RPG Maker XP, VX and VX Ace, and the elements found in the program work with other 2D game engines as well.

With Game Character Hub, you can easily create characters by choosing generator parts provided in the program. Simply select a template, add items and you're done! You can also create your own custom templates and parts. Note that almost the same logic applies to tilesets, so it doesn't necessarily need to be characters!

Is the RMXP compatibility very diverse? If so, I think I might grab it, because there's very few tools out there that actually make the sprites properly without either a lack of customisation or issues.

Bah, more training wheels marketed to people who don't know better. Gimp is free and can do all that and more.
And why would anyone want desktop wallpapers? I think their marketing strategy revolves around brand loyalty.

As I've experienced. Spriting takes a lot of time and patience. And even then it most likely won't be good.
I'd prefer hiring a spriter, but most I've seen charge corporate rates and I cannot afford that.

I like Enterbrains products. But as a company, they're fairly shit with their customers from what I've rougly assumed.

No official RGSS tuts.
Occasional email about new resources.
Didn't release XP ACE (i crai evri tiem)
And I don't know much else.
I agree with Coyote, although how can you have brand loyalty when you know most of the people who use your program pirated before buying?

/rougly educated guess.

Also, the actual product this thread is about.
Could be alright for character design but I doubt I'd use it for commercial use (if at all)

Don't touch this program if you're making tilesets (especially don't pay). It has one tool, merely to merge them, and can't even do this properly.
