For the love of techno...

I just threw this together in about two hours, using FL Studio. It's my first attempt at music. I'm really proud of how it turned out. Unfortunately, I was supposed to make an opening theme, and I think this is going to end up being put in somewhere else...

It's not 100% finished, the intro is being replaced, one version for my personal collection, and another with a more loopable beginning and end for game usage.

Anyway, let me know where I need work! I know there are a few places it needs it, like the low-synth interfering with the bass, the tempo being maybe 5bpm too slow, and the lack of a proper ending...

I'm also working on an interlude in the middle that will divide the song in half, adding a two minute loop to the middle, and a square 30 seconds for both the intro section and the end section. This is going to end up being about a seven minute track. (I think it might have gotten out of hand a bit...)

I really can't see this in an RM game, even a futuristic one. But, for a song you used to learn FL with, it's fantastic.

Many thanks! This guy really got out of hand while I was making it. I mean, I LOVE Hardstyle and the melody didn't go well with strings, so I tried a synth and all the sudden I had a Happy Hardcore? song. Then I expanded the loop not twice, but three times, and then turned the Hardstyle kick into standard dance bass.

Whatever the case, In two hours time, I've become quite proficient at handling FL, so I will probably end up studying music theory over the next few weeks and start making music that will go into my games, instead of relying on others to make it for me. Music is really the only part of the Game Creation process I couldn't handle.

Honestly, I've never even bothered with the music-making aspect of game-making. So, even more kudos for that.

Maybe you could make a music workshop thread as you continue? I would be interested in watching your progress.
