Font issue..

I have tried several font changing scripts, and they all cause my font to show up blank.  I can however load the font if I have my font.ttf file open.  I mean, literally open, where I can see the font displayed, every letter.  If its open, the menu text, etc, will load.  If I close it while RMXP is running, it goes back to the default RMXP font.

I have placed the font in the Fonts folder, and main dir just incase, but it still won't load it from that folder.  =/  I'm trying to call the font from the folder rather than the system, so I don't have to force people to install the font I'm using, but it won't work unless I actually have the font file open.  Any ideas?

That means you don't have the fonts installed correctly. Supposing you're running RMXP on an actual Windows OS and not on an emulated machine, putting the font in the fonts folder of windows should be enough, but make sure you don't just have a link there. If that isn't enough, try putting them outside the fonts folder, right-click and select 'Install' - Vista has that option, I dunno about XP anymore. Also, RGSS is context- and punctuation-sensitive, so make sure you don't have any errors there. Other than that, I have no idea... maybe a fault in your registry.

That's not the issue though, what I'm trying to do is call the font from the "fonts" folder in my project folder, rather than install it and call it from the Windows Font folder. Pretty much just like the Final Fantasy 6 Starter Kit does it.
