Flute VSTS. Where can I find good ones?

Where can I find good flute VSTS for FL Studio 7? I would like direct links because many times I can't get results when people tell me, check blahblahblah.com or something like that. Other than that, I would like to know whre can I find good VSTS for FL Studi that allow to use instruments as the ones in Final Fantasy IX, RPG's with that kind of music. Thanks for your help, you shall not be rewarded, but it's always good to help someone out...

...right?

edit: guess that final sentence was kinda demotivating, wasnt it... noone's helping at all...

Personally I love the flute sounds from Eastwest symphonic orchestra but thats more than just a flute.

Try SaxLab, just google it [I don't have time to look for a direct link right now, PM me if you are stuck, sorry] it has a good flute sound and very simple to use. Try the trial.

I agree with this. There was also another orchestral VST that I had in mind but ill get back to you on what it was.

Booyah! That was it. Its the one packed in with Finale 08. Most of it is actually shit but the woodwind sounds are quite nice.

Strange, I find its sound to be rather decent as far as "fake"ness goes, especially comparing with a lot of the sound library alternatives out there on the same level. I am a fairly competent flautist with about 6 years of playing experience, so I have a decent idea of the range of sounds of flute. However, I do believe that the amount of echo embedded could have contributed to the conclusion.

Oh, of course. Synths are synths; it is incomparable to that of an actual player performing it. Comparing among the realms of synths and between that and an actual performance is an overkill. And when comparing between synths, the actual "personality" aside from the actual tonal quality is largely affected, if not solely, from their utilization - Via commanding expressions and the like.

Except it's not a synth, it's a sample library. That is where the problem lies. When you have a mediocre sample library like GPO that has very miniaml velocity samples, which are poorly done, few articulations which are also poorly made, it is quite reasonable for me to compare them to other sample libraries which offer a far more desirable product.

Ah, wrong word there on my part. But yes, I suppose it's a matter of preference, but I find the winds of GPO to be rather pleasing compared to a lot of the other libraries I've heard - Not to speak for the rest of the package, of course.

Speaking of which, which sound libraries do you recommend? I've been thinking of getting an upgrade as of late. Preferably with some decent modern soundfonts as well; (electric) guitar and etc. It'd be very helpful if you can link a sample excerpt made with the said packages, if possible. Thanks in advance.

There's the extremely overused EWQL samples which really run the gamut of anything you can think of. I personally enjoy them. For electric guitar, the only samples I'd trust would be Prominy, although I personally would not use that as I play the instrument myself.

Demo mp3s of Prominy products can be found here: http://www.prominy.com/SC.htm

I use Pettinhouse's DirectBass for electric bass guitar, works pretty well for a substitute until I can get a new bass.

The alpha and the omega when it comes to orchestral libraries is the VSL Symphonic Cube, but that is only for people with serious money.

I've always saw EWQL to be the ultimate thing to go for as far as orchestral packages go, but it's rather costly for me at the moment. Prominy guitars actually do sound very nice; a lot better than I expected for guitar soundfonts, even. I'll check out the other items, thanks for the recommendations.
