Fishing how would i do this?

I wanna add fishing in my game but not really sure how to apply it, do i need to use a script of some short or could i use some type of varible

if anyone knows of how to add fishing to a game please help, I was thinking fishing like Harvest moon for Snes, i always enjoyed fishing in any game

if it is a script i need may I please use it?
