First Title Screen: Alone.

Ive been working with RPG Maker for roughly a week, Made a title screen today.
Im experience in Photoshop, so i expect to have good maps, but i lose points for my scripting,
Oh well, i'll keep trying to learn RGSS, but heres my title screen;

Its supposed to have New Game, Load etc there, my bar highlights there for the title anyways, and i wanted my own font and i didnt know how to change the font originally, so thats what i done.

Rate and constructive criticism?!

It is a nice title screen, however I dont understand. Your game is called alone, but there are 2 people on it? Either way, dont expect to make good maps because you are good in Photoshop. Unless you draw your maps in Photoshop, the 2 things wont link together.

I think you should put New game, load game and exit to the right about 7 pixels. And I think you should put Alone in the right corner 5 pixels of the sides, and only make one person there on the image like Smith said.

the text 'alone' should probably be a little bigger or a different font, to make it stand out from the game options.

The text "Alone" is far too much in the corner, and isn't any bigger than the menu options, so it doesn't stick out as a title very much, like blakey up there said. Enlarge the text and put it somewhere to balance the menu options. I'd put the choices in the bottom right and have "Alone" in the bottom left, so they're about the same size, or a similar layout.

The image is a bit blurry, but you probably had to stretch it out to fit the 640x480 resolution, so not much can be done about that. imo the image doesn't fit the concept of "Alone" very well as others have noted, so something that conveys the loneliness theme well and effectively while being good quality and looking good with the text would be good. If you get a different picture you can experiment with some different layouts as well and see what looks cool.

mmm, i don't think the picture is blurry, it's water color, a style of art. especially since zak claims experience in photoshop, why would he make it small then stretch it?

and yes, seperate "Alone" from the options, so that it is by itself 'alone'

Alone is further in the corner, it seems that rmxp has cut of the corner, so yeah there a bit out. And i geuss i could make Alone Bigger,

2 Best Friends Get Split Up,
Whole Plot His Finding Him Again,
The 2 People Is Him And His Friend,
So once you've actually played the game you'll get it,
sorry i didnt say plot in first post.

Also, yes i make maps in photoshop, i also use
actual photography I do for maps aswell.

i still suggest moving and/or making the words 'alone' bigger. right now it is parrallel with the others, only further south

Thank yea, i still have the PSD so i can do that,
but im thinking about scratching that game, Got a new idea for a game.

put the word "alone" in a bigger font (like... 4 times as big) and place it on the bottom at the right corner of the screen.

It doesnt matter anymore, stopped this game hehe, making a new one.
Trying VX Its actually alright once you get used to it.
