First-person mode

I don't know if this is the right place to put this, but here goes... is there a way to make the playable character change to first-person mode when entering a "dungeon"? The rest of the game I want to make as third-person though. If this is possible, I sure hope there is a tutorial for it.

What would "first person mode" entail?

You mean viewing it from the hero's eyes?

Not sure how that would work.

Didn't someone make a script here a LOOOOOONG time ago, infact yeah they did, I remember it, can't remember what it was called, but it WAS indeed first person, although it was terribly coded and you still turned at 90 degrees, lol... can't remember what it was called though !

They did; not sure how well you'd be able to toggle it on and off though and I'm not sure it worked on interior (or dungeon) maps.

Yeah it worked on ALL maps, you couldn't toggle it on or off though, but it worked everywhere anyways o.O

Maybe if he finds it, someone could clean the code up and add a toggle feature...

Well, if it's just one script it might just be as simple as wrapping the whole script in

if $game_switches[gggggg] == true
-
end

like they do with the SDK.

Actually yeah, that IS the one I was on about, and to get rid of the black background anyways, I'm sure you can use a panorama, lol.
