First HK Clothing Attempt

II tried to attempt to make a yellow jumper for the HK child, but it doesn't look so good, good someone point out the mistakes I did so that I can improve?

I probably have many mistakes, would appreciate some comments and critique. Just remember, this is my first try in spriting something from scratch.

It's not as bad as you think. The main problems are a little bit of pillow shading and too much highlight. Try to remember that the light source is supposed to come from the left, not dead centre. Use more midtones from your palette and reserve the highlight colours for places that really reflect the light. The shape is good though, and it's looking really cute. Well done, keep it up.

yeah britchik is right....
your pillow shading it
which is bad xD
you should make it more detailed

more on that... a good start ^^
keep it up
Gambatte!!

Other then the shading, the only real problem I see is that the sleeves of the shirt should
fall more naturally against the hand, instead of cutting straight across.

I'm not really good at shading advice, but, as for structure! I preferred your other sleeves you could curve the line instead of making them longer and i think it'd look more like a sweater, i only have one where the sleeves are loose like that. Though if you were going for that look then ingore what i just said.

To do a spoiler, use the tags [.spoiler] and [./spoiler], just remove the dots.

As to the jumper, it's still looking a bit flat. It still looks like it has too much light and not enough shadow, even though you took out a lot of the lightest colour. You may want to try taking a look at some of the things in the HKCP. Zoom in on the pieces, study the shading, then try to imitate it. And don't be afraid to use those darker colours; used correctly, they really help give depth.
