Fire Emblem RPG?

I have an idea where you are in the fire emblem world (although everyting would have different names). It plays very simular to fire emblem, but you are allowed to roam around and find battles to do. It would have the same class tree as fire emblem: the sacred stone (with a few modification). You could pick your class and everything (you could even be a lord if you wanted to be) and there are different paths you can take and you could play the game over and over. It would not be the smae tactical play of fire emblem, as you would just walk around the map and fight enemies. I only have one question. How could I make it so that there are battles and you can pick different characters at differnt times, but on if they are on the board? Would a script be needed? Also, would someone mind making RMXP-complatable sprites?

I don't get it, do you mean zelda style running round and killing or you run around towns shining force style and then find battles and go to TRPG mode?

I think he means that you go around in cities and towns but then you exit and roam around zelda style.

Maybe I could make a RPG with the same class-changing ideas as Fire Emblem. Any idea how I could make it so that you ended up more powerful if you waited to change classes?

Example:
Character A is a thief. He changes class at level 25.
Character B is also a thief. He changes class at level 40.
Character A < Character B
 
In order to make such a system do an event as so

Conditional Branch actor class is X
Conditional Branch Character is X level
<class choices>
Change Actor Class to Y

That should work for what you need :thumb:
 
But I want characters that graduate early to be at a disadvantage...
Character A's (From before) final STR: 50
Character B's final STR: 35
Or something like that.
Also, I would like to make stats a %, not set.
 
If you have a question about RPG Maker or how to make something, you should make a thread in the RMXP/RMVX General Support forum. You're more likely to get some help there, anyway. Let's not get too off-topic here.

You are a very evil man. But I won't agree until i see something.

Also you should look at the class system in shadow dragon, you have a set limit that you can have of each class type, promoted or unpromoted, and you can reclass anyone (cept Marth) within 2 sepe/parate trees so you can make a team as you see fit but not have 15 pegasus knights to wipeout the target in 2 turns.
