Artwork for Aquae (Visual Novel)

Semi-realism painting ....mainly focusing on realistic textured hair.

A tablet makes everything easier but I don't get the same "feel" as I want to with a pencil drawing.

Still a bit busy with uni summer session stuff....so have some lips while you wait.

but i feel like the hang hanging out in front is a bit much
i thing the thing to her(?) right is shoulders- it's really unelaborated seeing as the image cuts off right there
I'm pretty sure it's a she, as there's a slightness of breasts, lips, etc. but there's a feeling of androgyny there- i think something like the eyes/eyebrows does it, maybe something about the face in general.
and the hair and emphasis of lighter colors make all look a bit less noticeable in general, i think
but still beautiful and stuff tho

Hey Hirei. It looks pretty good. You have definitely gotten better over the years. I am not a huge fan of where everything is located in the face but I think that varies from person to person. How long did this take to make?

Oh, hey, I didn't realize you were Hirei! Welcome! Anyway, nice art. I don't usually like anime art, but this is done well, especially the last one--very expressive pose, and the inking is nice. I like the clothes too.

The second character you posted with the white hair looks a little flat to me, though. Maybe add more shadows to make it look rounder? I really like the sketchy watercolor look of the clothes, but the face and hair are in a somewhat different style. I also think her right eye might be a little high. Nice work, though! It's cool to see a sort of painted anime style.

As far as anime goes youre pretty good. Although in your more detailed paints, specifically the lips. I found that its never good to use a solid black line, darker flesh tones showing the curvature of the lips would give a better effect and the black lines make it seem almost doll like or non organic.
