Final Fantasy 9-2 - Search For The Black Mage

It is ten years after the events that threatened to destory Gaia. Everyone is prospering again after a large scale rebuilding of the 3 remaining nations on the Mist Continent. Zidane and Garnets daughter, Akira is training to become a Black Mage under the watchful eye of Master Vivi. But when master Vivi goes missing, Akira must reunite the old team, including her parents, to save the lost hero from an unexpected villain.

I'm a big fan of FF9. I hope you do it justice. I like the sound of airship races - one question, though. Will this be the Final Fantasy equilavent of pod racing?

I am a great fan too, but keep in mind that Vivi, according to developers actually died at the end of Final Fantasy IX. There is a lot of discussion on the subject, but the Japanese version of the game made it clear that Vivi died like other mages... and that's one of the reasons that make the ending of Final Fantasy IX so emotional. But since this is a fan project, I think you can probably interpret the story the way you want it.

No, i haven't worked it out entirely yet, thats why i've put it on here, just fro a few other gamers to make some suggestions as to what a few side games and quests i can do to make it cool. I will be having a return of chocobo hot and cold however and new chocograph locations. Any ideas for the airship races though? I was thinking of having it as a similar plan to the Festival of the hunt (which will also be reappearing) as only being available at a certain time in the game. BTW, the Treno Card Tournament will also be in the game albeit in a different format.

I know that Vivi died, but he was such a cool character that i couldn't really not have him in a sequel. That would be like Advent Children not having a reference to Aeris!
