"File Corrupt, run Virus-Scan and Reinstall"

OK.

So.

Yea.

Going to Replace all my swearing with #$@! Just, in case. I've been at this for HOURS trying to fix this. I'm @#$ annoyed.

I download RPG Maker XP. From the official website.
I install the RTS and then the game itself.
I click to open the game.
I get an error telling me the file is corrupted, that I need to run a virus scan, and that I should Reinstall.
I do said things.
I get an error telling me the file is corrupted, that I need to run a virus scan, and that I should Reinstall.
I swear, !@#$!, and uninstall EVERYTHING.
Rinse, Repeat.

Short story is that I'm @!$$#ing tired of all of this. I want to be able to try this out, having previously used 2000 and 2003 years and years ago. I'm sick and tired of this. Please, for the love of god someone please help me.

@!$!

Vista, XP, or something else? (Linux, OS X, or Windows 7?) If Vista or something else, is it in the appropriate compatibility mode for XP SP2? Both the installers and the installed .exe files will need this. Next, what is your security program, if any? Finally, could any of your system specs be messing with it? Last I checked, there was no known solution to get RMXP to work on Windows 7, and it doesn't work with every Windows virtualization suite out there for OS X or Linux.

Right. Sorry.

Using Parallels Desktop to run Windows XP on my Mac OSX. Windows XP is fully functional with everything else, except this darn program so the fact i am using Parallels shouldn't matter.

I don't have a security program, and seeing as this is the only program that does this, and it's only the SECOND download ever on this, I doubt I have a virus.

Any way to Get that?

I mean, I can run VX fine, but not XP. It's weird.

Win32API is a series of .dll files and other files that can be used for a wide variety of purposes, from playing video to resizing windows. I'm not sure if there is a way to get it, actually.

Where do I put it though?

Depends on how Parallels works. If it is a virtual PC, then you have to put the files in the C:/WINDOWS/System32 folder on the virtual PC. Otherwise you might have to put it in the same place on your hard drive. (I assume it is a virtual PC, but I could be wrong) Anyway, I'm still not entirely certain that Win32API is your problem. If this solves it, then it is. Otherwise it might be something else entirely.
