Fightin' Games.

I can't believe fighting games never get any love in forums I go to. It's not because they're not popular either; there's Tekken, Soul Calibur, the new Street Fighter II HD is out, and even King of Fighters has a new installment.

My personal favorites would have to be Street Fighter 3rd Strike, Guilty Gear, and Street Fighter Alpha 3. Of course I've always been partial to KoF, and Garou, Mark of the Wolves, but I haven't really played too much of it lately. I remember when I was in high school we used to get all together and play some fighting games. Some of my friends are still really into it and to go tournaments quite often, and two of my friends have serious plans to get together and start up an arcade in Pittsburgh.

So any of you like fighting games?

I personally am a (self-proclaimed) beast in MvC2, and as for other fighting games, I really dont play much outside of GG and SSBB.

I enjoy SCIV and GG:XX as well as a little KoF 99' sometimes, but all my friends stopped playing fighting games.

mortal kombat trilogy is the best fighting game ever. ;}

soul caliber is weird. i can't take 3d fighting games seriously.

I really cant either. I never really liked soul calibur (deep down its because i suck at it ;_ but 3D fighters are usually slow, I like my tournament style games fast paced.

I stopped playing most fighters after Super Street Fighter II Turbo Champion Edition Lemonade Killer Someothergenericwordhere.

Seriously I broke my thumb and by the time I got back people were playing games with like 99 combo hitters and instadeath shit that was fucking IMPOSSIBLE for most people who didn't learn to cheese the game along with everyone else or simple button smashers.

I love me a good fighter though, but unless someone else got it I barely play the genre.  3D fighters suck and 2D is great.  The sad thing is I'm actually REALLY LOOKING FORWARD to the new Street Fighter.
