I was doing a search for Tifa's FF7 sprite and I happen to come across something rather interesting about Final Fantasy 7. You spend 120 hours on beating the game to what you think is completion and there's something under your nose that you missed.

ah, debug rooms. arguably the coolest part of any game ever. even cooler when there's no conventional way to access it. i don't even like FF7, but i have a feeling i might have to crack out FF7 and a gameshark to check this out~

Oh man...that's almost as good as the Tales of Destiny II Debug room. What rocked about that room was that you could basically access anything in the game, give yourself any craymel, give yourself all the weapons and armor, start at lvl 255, everything.

Man this is so old... I accidently found out about this when i got a gameshark and it was one of the codes already on the list. I started up the game and went 'wtf??' and then had some fun.

In all seriousness, there's a lot of shit buried in FF7's programming besides what can only be found in the debug menu. This section of the FF7 Citadel has a lot of information and theories on the various things that were left in the game out of haste.

Remember, FF7 was a rush job toward the end. A lot of things got left behind in the programming dust.

It's funny, because Aeris has dialogue for parts of the game she isn't in (And despite rumors, was never intended to be in) such as around the North Crater in the end of the game. Hacking characters into your party who shouldn't be there is always fun.

Canadian Knights has a debug room :D You can eat people there.

Hey, I remember this! I don't like FFVII, but I love the debug room. Having Sephy in your party is cool. And I also love the FFVIII debug room. Watching the ending with two songs playing is strange.

it's true! also if you beat the game in 9 hours it unlocks a GAME+ option, and when you beat emerald and ruby weapon in that a guy in cosmo canyon gives you the SUPER NOVA materia (crazy)

The best thing about it was the music. It was nuts.

So what if there are a few errors. Go on, tell me if you have ever played or seen a game with NO bugs or errors whatsoever.

Anyways, back on-topic. That debug room sounds pretty nifty, I might give it a shot. Now all I need is a gameshark :P
