Hey has anyone played Fable? Fable is in my opionion is the best RPG and action game in the world (Close to Super Smash Brothers Brawl). Really soon they are going to realese Fable 2 anyway. Please post your thoughts about the game.

only fable is actually GOOD. also fable 2's not coming out anytime soon what are you talking about? they haven't even set a date yet - molyneux just hinted at a fall release.

but yeah fable 2's going to be pretty excellent. fable was really very good despite what most people say and judging from what i've seen (i am probably one of the only people who doesn't think molyneux is a faggot) fable 2 seems promising.

It's going to be around 2009 I think or this year... So to me thats pretty close I was saying that SSBB and Fable both are on my top favorite action games.

Everyone was like "omg molyneux are shit" because half the promised features weren't in Fable.

But seriously the features that were cut were shit anyway, why would you even WANT to plant a tree and see it grow in the future? It's like "hey this is a cool feature" but you'd do it once and that'd be it. It'd be better to have good features than waste disk space on wanky extras, which is what Fable did in the end, which is why it was so awesome.

So yes number 2 will be amazing.

The promised features are actually going to be in the game this time, though. From the videos I've seen they already have most of it done (which includes your dog, an option to play as a woman, the ability to raise a family ((and abuse them)), and an awesome two player mode) and it's just a matter of tweaking and polishing things.

I'm really excited for this; yet another reason to save for a 360!

And Fable 1 was a masterpeice, but seriously, there's not even a release date for this game yet.

Fable 1 was a premature baby. I definitely wouldn't say its awesome or perfect. Its a pretty decent linear RPG for its gameplay. But story wise... c'mon. The main selling feature of an RPG is usually an engrossing story but with Fable there was much more emphasis on defining your own character. Perhaps entirely so. Your own avatar from a child onward, imagine that. As long as that character was a guy, who would eventually look like a scarred professional body builder. So if you bought the game for the reason of developing your own character at the end we all have the same guy with a different haircut. If you bought it for the story you probably had a blasé feeling when those 8 hours ended.

I hope Fable 2 delivers. It will probably be competing with Spore for sales. And honestly I would rather take a chance on Will Wright.

I'd almost forgotten about Fable II.
I've been disappointed with many of the recent "molyneux" games. So I can't say I'm really holding my breath for Fable II. Sure Fable was a really fun game, but then again so was Black & White, and yet they still ruined Black & White II by turning it into an RTS.

look at it this way; fable 2 is slated for a fall release and molyneux has kept relatively hush hush about it.  other than a handful of screens and the prerendered trailer from 2 years ago, there's practically no information on it.

that's gotta mean something, right?  rockstar never talks about their games and they turn out good so good things must be on the horizon, right?

I wish he would bring back B.C. rather than work on another Fable game, however I did enjoy Fable.

Dungeon Keeper was pretty rad. I was just so damn excited when B.C. was being worked on. Hella pised that it got indefinitely suspended. So they didn't scrap it altogether and maybe there is a possbility of it being brought back, but I don't see it happening.
