Evil Dead (aracade style) games on a console?

So me and a friend were at the movie theatre about a week ago, and spent about 20$ in change playing (what I think) was evil dead. Now, this one of them ones with the guns that you point at the screen. It was fun. As HELL.

We missed the first half of our movie, caught up in that game (it was Vacancy, so it didn't matter cause the movie was terrible), and it sucks paying 20$ for a half hour of playing a game. =\

We wouldn't have had as much fun as we did without the light guns. That's pretty much what I'm looking for.

Are there any games like this for the newer-gen consoles? I'm pretty sure I've seen an xbox light gun before.

I think PS2 also had a light gun. As far as the next-gen systems, I haven't seen any that feature a gun. The closest you will probably get (as far as next-gen) would be the Wii.

I can't remember the name of the PS2 game that had a light gun, but if I remember right, you had to import it....

Yeah, I thought about that too, to just get a Wii. Any good 2 player FPS games on the Wii, yet? I've actually been waiting until the realese of the new smash bros game to get it.

I just recently bought a Wii, so I'm not entirely sure on what they have out for it. I know that at the end of May Resident Evil 4 is coming to the Wii (not 2 player, but still a really good game!).

The game you were playing was probably House of the Dead 2, which you can get on last-gen consoles, or even for PC. You can get lightguns for PS2 and XBOX.

That's like the best arcade game ever made, btw.

Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles is coming out for the wii. It's pretty much an on rails shooter just like house of the dead or time crisis. There are some trailers on gametrailers.com and youtube.

Time Crisis 4 is coming to the PS3, it's already out in the arcades (it's pretty damn awesome), and just so you know almost every console from the PS1 onwards has a gun-game like that with the peripheral gun, and if anything id suggest you get Time Crisis 1 & 2 on PS1 with the G-Con 45

Cool, I've been looking at the Wii lately (even though I have way more important shit to buy first), because as it turns out, we have massive amounts of fun playing pretty much any game that we can act like fools playing. =D

Cool to see there's the guns for the xbox, any idea if it'll work for a 360?? I dunt got an origional xbox, anymore. =\

360's won't support xbox controllers or peripherals so i guess you can throw that idea out the window...
