Event Limits

I was making a map and it needed to have a lot of events on it. I wasnt even halfway through when BOOM!
A message pops up and says "event limit reached." What can I do? Is there a script to increase the event limit or something?

Whether there is or not, it seems like a very bad practice to have so many events on the map to the point of program limitation - it would probably lag horribly (unless you get an anti-lag script, but still). Could you be more specific as to what the context is? Perhaps we can cut the number of events down.

wasnt the limit like 500 or 999? >_> i remember reading it somewhere, it would take weeks to do that many events even if all of them were simple show text commands. if youre really having a problem with this, try combining events together. you can do switches, tints, show picture , etc, etc, in one event

The limit of 999 events per map is an editor limit.
The engine can perfectly fine handle more.
I remember once making a map which had 10k events. It lagged horrible, yes, but still worked just fine.
You must however make a script which generates the events if you want more than 999 events.

It's important to notice that no script can change the editor limit. You will have to make the rest through a script.
