Event issues - solved -

Yay time for my second question >_>.

Allright so im trying to setup an event that will only run at a certain time.
Heres what i want:
Character starts off in room, goes down a floor (kitchen) where an event with mom is triggered, does some quests for villagers and returns to room, then hero goes back down into kitchen where his mother is attacked.

now then here's the problem: I need to know how to make it so the event with the attack doesn't run until after a certain point. how would I set that up?

(I know i could make a conditional branch that would set it up so that the event will only run if i have a certain item but that just makes inventory messy and wastes space.)

Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

Yeah thanks for that link guys, it cleared things up.
I was using switches the only problem was i set the event as a conditional branch that would only run if the switch was on. This screwed things up.
After reading that tutorial i found out how to set it up right and now everything is to my liking ^_^.

And sorry if the wording of the question was a little off... im running on 3hrs sleep right now x.x
