Event Based Football Penalty Minigame

[PINEDAXP]

This event took me a while to think of, please note that I?m no good at eventing so this is far from perfect, BUT! hell yeah it works!, still, this minigame has showed itself as a cool system and fun to play...

It?s a minigame for the world famous Penalty kicks! (drums please...!) that part of a football game when there?s no future and defines A class tournaments...! Also that part of life you can enjoy, just grab a ball and go out and play with your buddy or your big/small bro...

Here?s how it works:

You choose the direction of the shoot using (W A D) in the keyboard (W=up A=left D=right) and then you take the shot, it can be either get stopped by the goalkeeper or you can send it off the park, also there?s an specific case when the ball doesn?t get tp the keeper (cuz you?re learning the sport in the middle ages, duh!) cuz you do not posses the skill to kick every time a perfect shot...

nice but one there is one problem it seems that ED only stop the ball if she or he jumped to the left (that's Right for her) where ever i kick the ball when she or he jump to the left the ball seem to be blocked

I've made an event Based 1 on 1 Soccer(Football) System. Buggy. But you can kick it in the air and all kinds of stuff. I just need to make it where the opponent tries for the ball xD

Thats real cool.

I was wondering when I used it in my game my characters wouldn't jump and the first scene the ball only moved once.
Do I need something in the script for the jumping?

No, you don't need anything special regarding scripts, dunno what's actually happening...

I took me a while to reply this thread, since I wasn't aware of its publication, so I'll start replying...

Some bugs were found actually, about two days after I posted this, the main reason for failures was simple: Very random... Just a slight change allows you to play it at its full potential, that change it's to set one part of the event, but I don't recommend messing with it since it's not commented...

The map... well it was very simple, I'm even thinking on making something different, like spriting the corner flags and the Goal...

And Marti, if you're interested on this (or anyone else) I might post an upgraded version of this when it's all set, you probably just got unlucky with the bugs...

Great game. I did some editing on it with a program that got the file for RPGXP. Just a tip, make it so that if its blocked, the goalie kicks it out and it starts a mini-mini game xD

woa! thanks arbiter! I noticed a few bugs a while ago... but take into consideration when the last update happened... I know what the bugs are and how to fix them, so feel free to ask.

This is actually from my game... where it has prices for doing several stuff... (like scoring all of them, missing all of them O.o and so)

BTW, this was my very first minigame

Yeah I noticed one slight bug where nothing happened yet it said I scored, So I just deleted the "wait" commands and hey presto everything was fine.

Seriously though great mini game, Look forward to the release of your game.

I fixed it another way... it was to set the goal transparent, because it stops the ball from moving...

Anyway, thank you, I'm glad you liked it, because of your precedents. And thanks on the comments on the game, I'm hoping for a long demo in a while

It was fun to play, but I mean that bug only happened when you kicked it forward.


Another bug was that you could move around and kick from any where.

Interesting... I never tried that myself... XD and yes, I'm now fully aware of the front kick... maybe I should repost a new version...
