Equipment "Optimize" and "Remove All" commands

In my CMS, I intended for the commands "Optimize" and "Remove All" to be included in the Equip Commands, but I'm not sure how to get the system to actually execute these commands. Can somebody give me an example of how to get started?

I'm going to search myself tonight and hopefully find out how to do this, but I haven't been able to find a good script to study from.

I figure somebody would know how to do it.
