The latest update to HBGames, and it's a combination of four different plugins, two paid, to provide a better search experience and new ways of navigating the website.
Enhanced Search
Rather than using the default MySQL search, which is slow, cumbersome and resource intensive, we have moved to Elastic Search. Not only is it an industry standard and far more powerful than the default Xenforo search, but I believe we are the only RPG Maker website to offer this feature.
You will find your searches are now far more accurate, have more options available, and it is generally much easier to pinpoint the exact thing you're looking for.
Auto Predict
As you begin typing the search system will try and guess what it is you're after before you know it yourself. Think of it like Google's auto predict.
Similar Threads
Threads now list similar threads beneath them so you can continue the discussion or find other responses on the same topic around the site.
Suggestions/Did You Mean
If you search for something and the forum has something similar indexed more often, it will suggest that to you. For example if you searched for mnorpg the system will suggest mmorpg as an alternative.
This means even if your search query yields no results, you are not stuck in a dead end and can continue in your quest.
Post Areas
You can now see on a user's profile where they are more active around the site. It's a good way to pull up someone's content to find more.
Tag Search
You can opt to search only within a certain tag, which makes finding RMXP resources much easier for example. This makes the previously implemented tag system far more powerful.
