Drawings

This is a drawing dump I'm going to post drawings I do over time, these two are the only ones, so far.

Anime

This isn't colored like anime and I didn't do the halo shading with the hair.

Chibi

Although this isn't the same costume as before it's a little thing I drew when I was bored...

So that's it for now, so tell me what to think about it.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Kinda reminds me of my first early attempts at digital art. :p

Actually, I think the best advice I could give you right now is to really focus on your pencil art and the straight basics and leave stuff like colouring for later. Until you get really good on stuff like anatomy and volume don't try colouring. (hell, I'm still not confident enough in my art to try and colour it digitally and I've been doing this crap for years :p )

But yeah. You have some major anatomy problems, and imitating anime isn't a good idea to start your art. If you're really serious about, and want to improve, then try and stay away from anime for now and focus on the core basics. (anatomy, proportion, volume, etc) It will help you SO MUCH in the long run.

i've given advice alot of people about drawing anime and it always starts with one link.

http://www.howtodrawmanga.com/howtodraw/tutorials.html#start

i still use the link and i've been in the game for years. GREAT resource.

As our friend above stated, draw with pencil. I've never used a tablet or any other form of electronic drawing, so I don't know how much more difficult it can be. But it is possible to draw with pencil then use single lines for outlines and scan it in for colouring/photoshopping.

:) peace

Ummm, well for one thing, I drew this and scanned it and went over it using gimp, then coloring. Anyway, I'll have a look at the website, thanks for the critique though.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Don't go over your pencil lines with gimp textures.
I suggest you draw with pencil, then go over the lines with a fine marker, then remove all pencil lines with an eraser before scanning.
you should use gimp/photoshop to change the contrast until you have a nice enough contrast to begin colouring.
Then you should colour using layers.
