Donkey Kong Country: Returns

Second of the games I'm going to show is a requel that's a sequel that's also like a remake or re-imagining and I won't take credit for that name because it sucks.

I'm personally excited as SHIT for this game. I loved the original DKC and the sequels were a bundle of fun too. I've hated the fact that DK has gone no-where since the abject failure that was Donkey Kong 64. All he's been in is a bunch of retarded racing games (Mario Kart excluded) and some Donkey Konga beat box or whatever the hell that was. Let's hope this lives up to it's predecessors.

Sometimes I think I was the only one that enjoyed DK64.

That said, this looks really neat. Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2 always were some of my old-time favorites.

that looks really cool in all honesty. The graphics looks smooth and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Its nice to see DonkeyKong revived and i am curious to see what they do.

And moe, DK64 was the shit. c:

Okay it's just me then, I couldn't see DK64 as anything but a Mario 64 clone, where DKC was like the mac-daddy of all platformers and just blew me away.

yes yes yesssssssssss

Maybe nostalgia goggles are clouding my view, but I adored Donkey Kong 64 and still do. Played the shit out of that game as a kid, too bad it doesn't work in my N64 anymore :(

I guess since I played DK64 first I could never really get into the original SNES platformers as much. I've tried out the first two DKC games but never found them all that fun. This doesn't seem like it will hold my interest much either. I don't think I'll buy it.

I may be young but I enjoyed it on the snes when i was about 3. I have it on my emulator right now. And sometimes still play it. Pity the new one is on wii.

DK64 a Mario 64 clone? Really? o0 How?

This game does look good as far as reboots go. I assume this will be on the Wii, so I am curious to see how it plays with the motion controller rather than the classic controller.

Yeah, it's for Wii. In the same vein as New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Zelda: Four Swords Adventures for the gamecube these are "Retro-Upgrades" Where the graphical capability of the platform is of a normal game on the console so they look more fluid more FPS e.t.c. 3D polygon characters and objects, much smoother, but the gameplay remains virtually the same as the old school versions like Super Mario Bros. for New Mario Wii and Link to the Past for Four Swords Adventures or in the case of this game, Donkey Kong Country for Donkey Kong Country Returns.
