Does anyone know how to properly map a mountain that you scale up?

I haven't been able to find anything in the sample maps of any of the mapping threads here showing a good way to map a mountain "dungeon" (if you will) in RMVX.

Basically I have a mountain stage that I want the player to feel that they are scaling up to a summit or peak.  But it just looks like crap no matter how I try and map it.  Admittedly I'm not much of a mapper... any help will be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

Whoops, disregard this. I had posted thinking you were talking about RMXP.

Yeah, I'm not sure how you'd do it in VX with VX's RTP. Anything in general dealing with mountains in VX looks hideous because of the block-style (one of the reasons I don't use VX).

Gabriot was talking about RMVX in particular, I believe, which it is much more difficult to map a mountain with (that you can scale).

Sorry, I haven't gotten around to learning how to properly map in VX. :(

it actually is possible... you just need to be a little familiar with the mapping system and have a certain extra tiles in the E tileset that I have made... ^_^

I will see what I can come up with, and let you know if I get anything.

Alright cool that would be awesome.  I have something that (sort of) works right now, but it's not what it could be.  I also hate how you have to put tiles above the mountain walls in order for them to map the sides onto each cliff.
