Do you believe in aliens?

As the title suggests, do you think that aliens from outerspace exist? Do you believe that area 51 exists and aliens are kept here? Do you believe in UFO sightings? Or do you just think aliens existing is a bunch of crap and rumors.

Well, I think it's kinda obvious that Earth can't be the only habitable planet out there. I just don't think that aliens are very different from us. I mean, I can see evolution branching down a path that we didn't take, but I can honestly say that they are probably more human like then we'd think. It is however, not unlikely that they may be more advanced then us, cause their planet could of been ready way before Earth was.

We would have to be pretty naive to think that we are the only intelligent life force out there. However, I do not believe that aliens are these bug-eyed beings who cruise around in a ship. You have to first understand that humans define living beings as beings that breathe in oxygen, change and grow, reproduce, etc. But what if there is another form of living that we cannot comprehend? So, we may think that many planets are inhabitable because they have no oxygen and whatnot, but if you think about it, people are most likely referring to the planets in our solar system. There are actually millions or billions of planets in our universe. There might be some form of life on one or more of those planets. Now, we are also very egocentric so when people think about aliens, they visualize them with human qualities. Perhaps there are other life forms out there that are incomprehensible to our very human minds.

I wouldn't really believe in Aliens, but tha doesn't mean I don't believe in othr life forms out there. Things such as UFO's don't really hit the believable spot, but there could be a possibility of their existant. That whole "Life on Mars" thing should be further inspected.

I do believe that there is life outside of our solar system, but I doubt that we would make any contact with them if we had a thousand lifetimes.

We know there's life that exists outside of Earth (scientists found it already, bacteria on meteors.) Also, it is estimated that there are 7 planets that would be able to support advanced life-forms like Earth in the universe. The chances of there being any intelligent life outside of Earth, or that these life forms would posses technology at our own level or beyond is so slim that it's non-existent (in my mind.)

Life? Yes.
Intelligent life? Most likely no.
Intelligent life we can contact? 99% improbable.

They havent been here, UFO sights take place near bases for a reason. Alien abductions happen to simple minded rednacks for a reason. The same reason simple minded rednecks 500 years ago were attacked by 'wolfmen'.
They most certainly exist but I dont know that we'll find them with our current preconcieved notions of what's required for life to form. Perhaps life can exist without carbon, maybe sulfur or silicon-based. And maybe, even if we saw such life, we wouldnt immediately recognize it as such. But no, I dont believe in the whole star wars/star trek/ whatever idea of a universe of humanoid aliens where everyone for some reason evolved identical speach and sight mechanisms and two arms and two legs.

As basically every one has said there MUST be other life out there.
I do believe there is intelligent life but I do not believe that they abduct and experiment on us. I mean why would these Aliens want to take us up, they could see we are no threat compared to them.

Quite frankly, I don't believe there's life in our physical universe outside of our solar system... I think that's lunacy, and I have never heard a good argument for it.

What I do believe is that there is a possibility of said life existing. I've never seen any proof or anything that slightly resembles a reason to believe... but yes, I do acknowledge the statistical possibility (albeit virtually nil) that life outside our planet could exist.

To all those who actually believe aliens do exist, I would be curious to know why. However, to those who believe they might exist... I'm pleased to know I'm not alone.

I think Aliens exist but not in terms of little green men or some goo or microbial life or plants.

I think there are Angels and they could be classified as alien, imo. Am I saying that those people who believe they are abducted are taken by angels...no...

If there was life outside of this solar system besides us it doesn't matter. Space is so freaking huge that no one would be able to communicate. So...unless its in our solar system or a nearby one. Chances are we will never come into contact. And even if there is a civilization that is co-existing right now on another planet millions of lightyears away and we can see it with a telescope. We still wont know becuase the light thats bouncing off that planet and comming back to us is millions of years old so you have to wait millions of years to notice th beginings of a civilzation on another planet with technology like ours or greater...

Well, if the way quantum physics is going we may have the ability to contact other life forms in thousands of years.

Decades ago people didn't think it'd be possible for me to talk to all of you through a glowing box instantly.

Okay, according to my Social Studies teacher last year, scientists are working on some kind of...super satalite that MAY be able to contact life on other planets(if there is any). If, that technology is done in my lifetime and they find something...Then, and ONLY THEN, will I believe in aliens.

I believe there are aliens somewhere out there, I just don't think that they're stopping by on saturday night to give us a ride. That would be like somebody stopping in the middle of the highway, picking up and ant, and driving him around a bit.

Its weird that nobody acknowledges bacteria have been found both in foreign meteors and on Mars rocks. Denial be the first step I suppose, or I suppose in a cinematic culture one expects first contact to be with some giant mothership.

That's because bacteria have been 'found' on meteorites so many times before.

I believe that there probably some other form of life out there somewhere. Whether or not it would look, act, or even perceive the world in a way similar to us? Who knows?

Look at it this way there are hundreds, millions, billions of galaxys, solar systems, & planets out there and you are going to tell me that out of all those BILLIONS of planets/solar systems that earth is the only one with life?

I doubt that, but one thing I dont belive is that this LIFE out there has come to earth, and even if they did I'm sure they would keep a very low profile (i. e. like they did in the Star Treck series).
