Do I need a new license?

Hey, I bought the license for RMXP a while back and my computer bit the bullet.  Is there any way to obtain RMXP legally again without having to pay the $60 for another license?  I checked my email accounts and didn't see anything from enterbrain, so I'm not sure if that was who sent the license to me in the first place.  If worse comes to worse, I'll just pay the $60 again, but that's something I'd rather avoid.

Some people have supposedly had luck with emailing the company directly. But most often, it's a case of "you should have written it down".

Hmm, I'll give that a shot then.  And yes, I definitely should have written it down.  That's the one bad thing about not having my father's OCD, lol.  Oh well, I'll give it a shot.  It never hurts to try.  Thanks!

Thanks, I emailed them a little while ago, and I'm waiting for a reply.  I'll let everyone know the result so that if this happens again, it becomes common knowledge as to what you can do in a situation like mine.

The problem with that whole "common knowledge" concept, is getting people to search for previously answered questions.  I have posted that same sentence from the 'confirmation page' 3 times in the last week.  And I know there are many other instances of the same problem on this forum alone.

I dunno, maybe we need to make the 'search' button a lot bigger & brighter???

You know what it is?  I'm so used to not being a registered user (frequent guest) that I'm not used to seeing the search bar up there.  In light of that, I really should have used that function.

As for the result of my little quest, I obtained the old serial for my license.  They said I could use that to access a new activation code.  That is good, quick service.  Maybe this could be put into a FAQ somewhere.

Everytime I end up loosing it..I just email them and email them my info (basically a proof of purchase type of deal) and they update my account so I can reobtain a new activation code.
