Display Variables in Menus

I know this is probably somewhere... but I'm still not used to the new forums.

This is an easy question though:
How do you display a variable in a script?

self.contents.draw_text(x, y, width, height, $game_variables[[i]i[/i]].to_s)

Put it in the refresh method of the window.
Just exchange i with the variables number.
