Last evening, I called the DevMenu to switch the BGM toggle to Off (as I was watching Heroes on my nearby
TV whilst I was scripting). Everything went hunky-dory. BGM was turned off and I continued my scripting.
Now we skip to today.
When I tell the engine to launch a testgame, it goes to the title screen, is functional, et cetera. I can access
the variables and strings database, successfully request FPS to be displayed in the title bar, and all the other
dev functions inbuilt...
However, F1 (Properties) does not function at all. Even when unfocusing the program, right clicking on its entry
in the taskbar, and selecting the Properties option does not function. To be sure that I was correct in assuming
that the DevMenu was not being called, I forced transparency on the program (so that I could see behind it in case
the devmenu was, in fact, appearing but decided to overlay itself on-top-of the main program and then was immediately
unfocused by something).
Is this a documented problem and/or can anyone give me a solution? (RPG Maker XP v1.02a - English Translation)
UPDATE: Resetting operating system seems to have fixed the above problem; still uncertain on the cause which could
magically re-appear sometime in the future and make this question valid once more in case resetting the computer
does not fix the functionality of the devmenu.
